The spirit of Mumbai – A mere excuse or an awakening call??

26th November 2008 – 10 Terrorists manage to hold the city at ransom for 60 hours!!
14 Mumbai police officers , 2 NSG commandoes including 1 Major, ATS Chief, Encounter Specialist and an ACP laid down their lives fighting those cowards.
But what hurts the most to a common Mumbaikar today more than the loss of known ones is the political high-handedness and inhuman behavior. The government and the opposition always used to fight and crib but this attack brought them all together. Please don’t think I mean that they all came together with constructive ideas to stop this terrorism, instead they became all one in playing politics or showing their inhuman side.

1st person to do so was Mr. L. K. Advani, just 2 days prior to the attack he blamed Mr. Karkare’s credibility and accused him of being a puppet. On 27th November the same puppet becomes “a national martyr who laid down his life while doing his duty!” in Advani’s words. Sir let me tell you that investigating the Malegaon Blasts was also his duty. Why were u accusing him that day then? Are you the supreme court of India to decide who is a terrorist of not? When will u stop being a hypocrite? I will give you as many examples of your and your party’s hypocrisy as u wish but first I will mention the hypocrisy of your party workers and supporters in the Hemant Karkare’s case. On orkut there were many postings in a community “BJP Supporters Group” in a thread “Hemant Karkare not Shaheed” There were at least 80-90 postings in that thread by different people of the community agreeing with the thread that Hemant Karkare was not Shaheed coz he died showing off by removing his bullet-proof vest, coz he was busy torturing true hindu people and leaders and one of the user mentioned that our actions make us pay and as Hemant Karkare was torturing hindus which was a bad deed on his part, God punished him! Sir if I go by your logic then those terrorists were messengers of God and were merely carrying out the actions what God wanted. Why were those messengers killed then? ( I hate to use such words myself but its better to make a person taste his own medice so cant help it).
Secondly all those police officers, commandoes, innocent civilians and foreigners who died while defending the country then would have done some or the other major sin and that’s why had such a fate just like Hemant Karkare had the same fate coz he was doing something very wrong. Isn’t it?? That way Vijay Salaskar, Ashok Kamote and innumerable others weren’t Shaheed too!!
Now comes the biggest hara-kiri of these S.O.B’s they shout on the top of their voices saying Hemant is not a martyr, I am sure every one of us would have noticed the innumerable banners and posters of BJP with the words Shaheed and three photographs on every nook and corner of the city. Surprise surprise Mr. Hemant Karkare’s photograph is on the top! ( Just to fool the masses and gain political mileage off-course)
So Mr. L.K Advani please decide weder Hemant Karkare is a political puppet, a shaheed or a person who died showing off and inform the common man on your stand!

The next person to follow hypocrisy is Mr. Narendra Modi or the next prime-minister in waiting after Advani. He wanted to go inside the Taj Hotel when the encounter was not over yet!! I guess that was just a bragging statement made in the press, but even lets suppose that from nowhere he gets the courage to do so and visit the Taj, what would he had done? Gone to the terrorists and asked for votes? It would clearly be a move to gain political mileage! Gosh even at this time they can think politics just like the NCP corporator Mr. Jaisingh who was preparing his strategy after being trapped inside the hotel! Even at such grave situation all they care is for votes, and we thought that these leaders would think of our welfare, wat fools we are or how much were we fooled by these a**-*****. Coming back to Mr. Narendra Modi (Gujrat ki 5 crore janta sun lo) he left no stone unturned first Pak-bashing and then criticizing the P.M’s address to the nation, security system of the nation and the maharashtra state. Modiji the terrorists first happened to have a stop-over at Vadodara which incidentally happens to be in your state. Where was your state-intelligence and security that time? You couldn’t happen to keep a tab on your state properly and expect the PM to control each and every nook and corner of the country properly. People with glass walls should never throw stones at others.

3rd Person again belongs to BJP – Their spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. That F**ker questioned the authenticity of the people shouting and crying in the T.V cameras questioning the role of politicians! He could see the lipstick and make-up of the females and the blazers of men standing and abusing them but couldn’t see the tears of a woman who was trapped in the building next to the Nariman House. He wants to catch hold of the person who gave money to such people and brought them at Gateway of India but doesn’t have time catching the terrorists of their counterparts in India. Mr. Naqvi god forbid but when one of your near and dear one’s would loose their lives in such an attack or when u would be taken hostage we will be the ones to question your authenticity that time!

4th Person is Raj Thackeray. Sir where are you? Aamchi Mumbai var hamla zaala ani bhaiya comandaranni apli Mumbai vachavli. (Our Mumbai was attacked and Bhaiyaa commandos saved our Mumbai) Stop playing divise and regional politics for god sake. Today you remember the gag order placed on you and tats the reason u didn’t come outside your home when Mumbai was burning. The same court which placed the gag order on you has mentioned that any Indian can travel, life and work in any part of the country he wishes to, y don’t u respect that order as well? Please don’t talk bout Maharashtrians helping Bihar during the flood time and so it was the duty of Bihar and North India to save Mumbai. First biharis never attacked the maharashtrians working there like you. And is it that India would be united and help each other only at times of crisis? And then fight internally during peace? If u actually care for the upliftment of the people please don’t divide them. This time if u happen to play the regional politics again Maharashtrians along with South and North India will kick you out of the country! With a mere handful of illiterate and unemployed youths you cant disrupt the peace and harmony of this country. Train the maharashtrians some vocationary course and not how to abuse and thrash innocent people.

5th is R.R Patil : “Your statements that we minimized the damage as only 200 were killed instead of the 5000” doesn’t cover up the fact that you failed. Y did even those 200 lost their lives? Werent they humans? And to top it all u mentioning that “Such small things happen in big cities” was totally uncalled. Wat would be the big thing then? You slipping in a bathroom and fracturing your hand! We would have a Mumbai bandh for 7 days then. Good you resigned, it was high time!

6th and 7th person and Vilasrao Deshmukh and Shivraj Patil : Again high time you had submitted your resignations, but still better late then never. Now please do one thing don’t ever show your dirty faces again. Shivraj Patil can now enjoy farming at one of the agricultural lands of Sharad Pawar in Baramati and Mr. Deshmukh can go and act in the next Ram Gopal Verma film alongside his son! That incident was very unfortunate and showed the insensitive side of you! Moron is the word that can describe you, your son and RGV.

I blame myself and my fellow country men now! Sit down calmly and think in a normal day how many rules we break. How much civic sense do we have? Jumping the queues while boarding a bus, buying the tickets in black, bribing traffic police-men, bribing govt employees be it hospitals or govt offices, paying more for the gas connection, for getting a telephone connection a few days prior would give a gift to the official, pay donations in school / college to secure admission of our children, paint our streets and wall corners red after chewing paan and tobacco royally as if that was our birth-right, littering the streets! Did we ever blame the prime minister for neglecting so many of our unlawful manners? Yes they are un-lawful and according to the constitution those are crimes / offences. In a city of 100 crore almost 90% of them have indulged in the above offences some time or the other. But all the 90 crore people went scot free, but how does the PM track 10 terrorists in this nation of 1,00,00,00,000. Its high time we stop shifting the blame of the govt. and blame on ourselves. This govt. is formed by us, its we who choose it so if the govt. is wrong its coz our choice was wrong. Earlier in elections when there were 6 candidates we had the option of choosing any one of them. But now if you feel none of the 6 is qualified enough u have a 7th option of none of these. Use it!! So instead of not voting at all, we must go and vote coz now we have a choice! Its better to choose president’s rule in the state rather than choose those jerks!

The phrase “Spirit of Mumbai” today makes me think that Mumbai is like a whore, the politicians are its pimp and the terrorists are the clients of that whore. Every 5 years the pimps might change, the clients may change and a few would try new positions with us but the bottom-line will always be “THAT WE ARE BRING ROYALLY SCREWED UP AND FUCKED” Let us hit those bastards where it hurts the most to them. Mumbai generates a lot of money everyday but this money is used to fill the coffers of the politicians! They know that after every attack Mumbai will forget those incidents and get their lives back on track. That’s the spirit of Mumbai, but this time lets not show them this spirit! Let them have a taste of their own medicine. Election Commission Officers should declare that elections would only be held when there is a surety that 26-11 wouldn’t be repeated!! Till that time president’s rule. School and colleges remain shut. Reason: Our children and faculty cant venture out of their homes because there is always a fear of a terrorist attack looming. One day when BSE remains shut there is a loss of crores of rupees, I request all the brokers / diamond merchants and corporates to keep their offices shut and demand that the govt. takes some immediate and solid steps to make us feel secure! We always tend to work better and faster in a high pressure situation. And we ease around when we know there’s no one looking. It could be a human nature or it could specifically be confined to Indian traits! Let’s create a high pressure situation and give the govt. an ultimatum. I am sure the govt. will work! Initially it would hurt us as well. Many daily wage workers can’t think of it. Their family and children would starve of hunger. But its better to loose some money rather than loosing our lives in such attacks! A lot of money with no security or a little less money with an efficient govt which provides security. What would u choose???

Lets not let it end so easily for the terrorists and our politicians. Lets do something. Anything. A non-cooperation movement. Something to show we are not gonna take this lying down. Something that can tell our leaders and other politicians as well that what we want is our own safety. A nameless, leaderless movement. Lets show them how many we are and how angry and tired and frustrated we are. Simply by coming together at Gateway of India. On 3rd December 2008 at Gateway Of India at 6 pm. If you cant come at least you could favor this by passing around to as many people as u can if you actually care for your own safety and the safety of the people around you!! I cared for my safety so I will be a part of this movement and I care for your safety so passed this message to you. Do you care for the safety of your own self or the people around you?
